It's May!! Summer is on it's way!
We are into the first week of May, the weather has been cold, it even came in with snow - quite the difference from last years 20+ temps...I can only hope that means autumn will be beautiful and warm!
May is proving to be a busy month, I have a lot of sculpts coming in and judging by my spreadsheet for timing, we are looking at late August before the list below will be completed but I am so excited to be able to bring to life each and everyone of them!
My current WIP is Ramsey by Cassie Brace, he is in the rooting stage with some baby brown hair (picture to follow soon)
Journey by Laura Lee Eagles has had her regular bath and a paint base bath as well, that is as far as she will go until Ramsey is complete. I don't like to work on more than 1 doll at a time, as I am creating, the dolls develop their own personality, their own gender and they tell me (no, not literally) what their hair color and skin tone should be!
You know the word is that if you find something that you really truly love to do, you will never work a day in your life again! I have and the only thing I find hard about this is....the day I have to box them to send them to their new mom! I love that I got to love them first, that I created a beautiful lil'squishy for someone else to love and I feel extremely blessed when I not only hear from the new mom, but I feel her excitement with that new lil'one she has just picked up in her arms!

I couldn't resist! Spring is here and what's better to celebrate it then a Lemon & Lavender Cake! I've seen a lot of recipes out there which incorporates lavender into it, lavender.... the calming and powerful fragrant flower, I must be losing my mind baking with it!
